Job Summary

The position is responsible for providing overall support and assistance with administrative duties for the sales department. The role involves managing tasks for the Carrier Representatives and/or Product Specialists, creating and organizing resources, sending contracts and emails, managing inbound email requests, creating sales reports, and assisting with marketing events and meetings. The role serves as the primary backup when Carrier Representatives and/or Product Specialists are out of the office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and completes tasks for the Carrier Representatives and/or Product Specialists to provide necessary resources.

  • Creates, organizes, and coordinates updates to Carrier resources in Carrier Team OneNote and Teams Channel.

  • Sends contracts to agents as requested by Carrier Representative or Product Specialist.

  • Sends out service-related and informational emails from carriers that need to be sent as a one-off email to inform or recruit.

  • Works Flow in RAMS for primary carriers, assisting in making agent follow-up calls as needed.

  • Manages inbound email requests to the team mailbox.

  • Creates various team sales reports using Excel.

  • Assists in answering agent calls, emails, and questions.

  • Assists with marketing events and meetings.

  • Serves as the primary backup when Carrier Representatives and/or Product Specialists are out of the office.

  • Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Primary Skills and Requirements:

  • Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship. Knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Contracting, and New Business operations and procedures.

  • Experience Required: No experience necessary. Abilities generally acquired on the job in 6 months.

  • Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, especially over the phone. Good computer and typing skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone.

  • Physical Activities and Requirements: Finger dexterity, talking, average hearing, average visual abilities, physical strength (sedentary work).

  • Working Conditions: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.

  • Mental Activities and Requirements: Reasoning ability, mathematics ability, language ability.
