Performs carpet, floor, and upholstery cleaning and maintenance for Division facilities. Serves as a back-up custodial maintenance worker.


Six (6) months of closely related experience.

A valid Driver's License issued by the State of Utah may be required to operate a vehicle

It is mandatory that all new hires receive the Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis) vaccine before beginning employment or provide a copy of their immunization record prior to starting employment. The immunization record must show the vaccine name and date received.

Upon hire, a two-step Tuberculosis skin test will be required. The first will need to be placed prior to starting employment.


  • Performs carpet and upholstery cleaning and floor stripping, waxing, and polishing using various equipment, cleaners, and methods. Manages all aspects of job related equipment transportation.

  • Performs cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on cleaning equipment and tools.

  • Moves tables, chairs, desks, furniture, and various equipment in preparation of areas scheduled for carpet cleaning and floor maintenance.

  • Conducts security check of buildings prior to entry. Secures the facility and equipment.

  • Serves as a back-up custodial maintenance worker when necessary.

Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Contributes to St. Mark's Hospital Department of Nursing and the nursing profession in a positive manner. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required), (BSN preferred). EXPERIENCE: * One (1) year experience in an acute care emergency room setting (preferred). LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * Utah RN License in this state (required) or RN compact license from participating compact states. * Maintains current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).
