What You Can Expect:
0700-1530 Monday - Friday, occasional weekend and after hours
The Carpenter 2, under general supervision, performs skilled carpentry work in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities, and related work as required.
Works from drawings or verbal instructions and operates a variety of carpentry hand and power tools or equipment.
Remodels and repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and miscellaneous furniture.
Alters and repairs a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, window frames, stairways and roofs.
Estimates time and material costs on carpentry projects and requisitions new carpentry materials and equipment.
Complies with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, state and local codes, regulations and requirements.
May coordinate the day-to-day operations of a group of employees, laborers, contractors, material suppliers, and/or vendors.
May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.
Handles moderately complex issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2 years' related experience
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License
