Function/Duties of Position

Provide Journeyman level Carpentry skills to grounds and building facilities on the campuses of Oregon Health & Science University.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a skilled carpenter, including form building; rough framing; outside and inside finishing; layout; care and use of tools and woodworking machinery; blueprint reading; and application of safety standards and codes; or completion of an apprenticeship (four years) under a skilled carpenter which included experience as listed above.

  • Working knowledge of the Uniform Building Code. Journeyman skills and ability in: concrete forming and finishing per industry standards, lay and repair brick and concrete block work. MSDS Information, National Fire Protection Asso.

  • Valid State of Oregon or Washington Driver's License and OHSU acceptable driving record.

  • Certification in use of power actuated tools.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
