The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Job Summary:We are looking for a Carpenter to construct, repair and remodel structures and furnishings at the Oasis at Death Valley. Our mission is to provide legendary service to our guests visiting from all over the world, and your work is instrumental to our success!

The Details:Position Type: Full-time Year-roundStart Date: April or May 2024Pay: $21.10Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

• Layout and construct all phases of rough framing.

• Install and repair drywall.

• Install and repair wooden and metal window including sliders, single hung, awning and casement styles.

• Install and repair wooden and metal doors including bi-pass, swinging, bi-fold, arcadia, and pocket styles.

• Install and repair roofing including shingles, shakes, composition, built up, metal, and tile applications.

• Install and repair sheet-metal products including stacks, ducts, flashing, gutters and downspouts.

• Install, repair and grout floor and wall tiles.

• Reads and works from blueprints.

• Provides assistance to other trades or departments as requested by the Chief of Engineering (or designate).

• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of (5) years documented experience with complete knowledge and ability to perform the tasks of this craft.

• Have a neat and clean appearance.

• Must be available to work all shifts and weekends.

• Ability to work well with others.

• Good problem solving skills

• Must have a Drivers' License.

• Ability to operate shop equipment.

Physical Requirements include:

• Must be physically able to lift, stand, crawl and bend during normal daily activities.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
