Carpenter

Provides carpentry services to build, repair, rebuild, remodel and maintain campus buildings, facilities and equipment.

This is a fulltime, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $22.89-28.61 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

• Receives work assignments, plans and lays out work. procures materials, tools and equipment.

• Repairs and installs doors, flooring, ceilings, walls, windows, shades, and furniture as requested.

• Performs routine maintenance of household and office equipment/accessories, i.e. toilet paper holders, shower curtains, window shades and blinds.

• Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established Middlebury College and department policies and procedures.

• Erects and dismantles various campus structures for special events such as, staging, commencement platform, etc.

• Cleans shop, tools and equipment daily at the end of work shift

• Performs associated Facilities Services maintenance work as requested, including but not limited to: snow removal, event set-up and clean up, truck loading and unloading and grounds maintenance.
