Our Carpenters will be responsible for general carpentry tasks associated with interior or exterior renovation projects at Fort Wayne International Airport.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work and maintain knowledge of various construction materials, including wood, fiberglass, steel, and concrete
Read and interpret building plans/blueprints for large and complex structures
Take the measurement of distances and materials to establish the dimension/size of a structure
Cut, shape, and smoothen the surface of materials using power saws and sanders
Erect walls, doors, window frames, furniture, and other structures
Ensure compliance with safety regulations to minimize the risk of a workplace accident
Build and layout flooring and dry walls to ensure accurate elevation
Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Past carpenter experience is a plus
Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge
Reliable transportation to the worksite
Ability to work on a team and independently
