Employee will be required to work in multiple districts of Canaveral National Seashore locations include Titusville, FL, New Smyrna Beach, FL or Seminole Rest located in Oak Hill, FL.
This position is a Full-Time temporary appointment not-to-exceed one year with potential to be extended for an additional one year for a maximum of two years based on agency needs and potential funding.

Direct other members of a work crew, either in a shop situation or at a work site.
Interpret work instructions and other technical guides.
Plan and complete projects from initial layout to final assembly and installation to complete carpentry projects
Apply skilled methods, techniques and shop mathematics to perform carpentry duties
Construct and repair elevated wooden visitor walkways from parking areas to the beach.
Train and demonstrate proper work methods to lower graded workers.

You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
Ability to use and maintain tolls and equipment
Knowledge of materials
Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
