This is a Temporary Full-time position, Not-to-Exceed: 90 days
The position is located in the Facilities Management Branch, Northern Navajo Medical Center, Shiprock, NM. Performs journeyman carpentry work through the service unit in the quarters, clinics, and hospital. Reports to Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor.

Builds framework, rafters, trusses, roof sheathing, siding, sheetrock, paneling, acoustic ceiling, title, vinyl floor tile, joints, doors, windows, screens, cabinets, miscellaneous built in, door locks, cabinet hinges, etc., and various other items related to the carpentry skills.
Repairs floors, floor covering, ceilings, walls, partitions, cabinets, windows, window and door sashes, casting and related hardware.
Plans and lays out work involving alternations, repair, and/or modifications to various items and structures, through oral instructions and/or reading and interpretation of building plans, blueprints, building codes, sketches, and other items of a relatively complicated nature.
Determines needs in regard to amounts and types of materials.
Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and inspection.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience regardless of whether the experience was gained a part-time or full-time occupation.
