The primary purpose of this position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the nurse, e.g. range of motion exercises, assistance in ambulation or exercises.

  • Performs personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, and others as directed/requested.

  • Performs household services essential to health care at home including meal preparation/feeding, laundry and ironing, changing/laundering bed linens, light housekeeping and other services as offered. Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents.

  • Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents.

  • Assists in the administration of medications under the direction and supervision of the nurse (per state regulations and facility policy).

  • Observes and documents the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse.

  • Responds promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance and emergency pull cords.

  • Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situation to the nurse.

  • Assist residents in preparing and transporting for appointments and social programs.

  • Assist with moving and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.

  • Assist residents to walk with or without self help devices as instructed.

  • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.

  • Provide special resident services offered by the facility.

  • Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state and company requirements.

  • Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.

  • Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.

  • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

  • Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset people within the facility.

  • Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Education and Experience

Prefer 6 months or more in home care or assisted living.

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, and order processing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: * Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times. * Attend and participate in department meetings that cover safety, quality and productivity issues. * Work with transport drivers to ensure incoming loads are received in a timely manner. * Able to review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy. * Maintain the warehouse configuration according to the approved layout for product, packaging and equipment storage. * Properly load a pallet make sure loads are stable and secure. * Must achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities. * Practice good housekeeping skills i.e. clean up spills immediately or flag the area off, avoid blocking emergency exits and report any potential hazards to a supervisor. * Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags. * Properly operate forklift, pallet jack and other necessary powered equipment. * Ensure product is inspected for quality, product/pallets properly tagged and rotated. * Understand how to read and utilize pick tickets to pick, pack and load orders. * Verify that all return labels have been approved/checked prior to placing product back in inventory. * Understand and perform all the appropriate HACCP plans assigned. * Ensure product is fully received, rotation is complete and product is staged in the correct quantities. * Promptly report all needed repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed on your equipment. * Perform necessary emergency replenishment for products that run below minimum levels to meet customer order demands from the daily order selection shift. * Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: * High school diploma or GED. * One year experience in Seafood distribution and or production for distribution. Preferred: * Forklift and pallet jack experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements * Forklift certification C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required * Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. * Ability to print and speak simple sentences. * Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. * Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. * Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
