accessAbilities, a local non-profit, subsidiary of Lifesteps, Inc, is seeking part time compassionate caregivers to assist clients with their personal care and daily living tasks in the Freeport, PA area for our Home & Community Services program.

The ideal caregiver will enjoy helping others with personal care such as bathing, personal hygiene, transferring to/from bed, laundry, housekeeping, shopping and preparing meals. Tasks may also include assisting with personal support equipment such as wheelchairs, manual/electric lifts, and leg braces, etc.

Caregiver Position Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • No experience is necessary. Paid training is provided.

  • Ability to lift or transfer 100 lbs

  • Valid driver's license/auto insurance

  • Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN As an Electronic Tech, you are responsible for visually inspecting assemblies to determine if they are built to customer specifications, looking for faulty components, components installed incorrectly, and detecting other quality defects. You assemble prototype units and maintain accurate records while determining priority of the scheduled work and adjusting to changes daily. When inspecting components and assemblies, you are always proficient. You become solder certified to identify, prepare, and correctly solder components to PC boards. You are accountable for the quality and quantity of your work. You ensure that you inspect your work and identify quality defects. In order to inspect products in all stages of the assembly process, you visually and electrically test them using prints and function testers. You dissemble and reassemble units correctly. You also perform electrical and functional troubleshooting for assemblies that do not pass the accepted test procedures. You repair and replace defective components. In this position, you have the opportunity to aid in the training of team members while assisting co-workers with problems encountered, share information and ideas on increasing efficiency, and assist when problems arise. Using your creative problem-solving skills, you are instrumental in improving the electronic manufacturing processes. You maintain a fast pace and remain focused on completing your work. As you work, you follow all company safety policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment. You keep your work area and the machinery clean and well-maintained so that when there is a problem, you can easily report equipment faults to the maintenance staff. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSEMBLER * High school diploma or equivalent * Electronic/Electrical training (degree, technical certificate, vocational schooling, and/or accepted correspondence) * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Visual acuity to read prints and interpret color codes on wires and components * Proficiency with various hand and power tools * Proficiency with IPC workmanship standards materials Basic soldering skills are preferred, but not required.
