Hiring FT 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7 which requires working every other weekend.

Position Summary

The Resident Assistant will make a positive contribution to the lives of our residents by providing them with routine daily care in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the community. The Resident Assistant will promote hospitality and deliver a high level of customer service at all times

Duties Include: Provide personal, physical care for the residents which may include bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and/or nutritional oversight.

Review and follow a written assignment for daily care to residents. Provide personalized and appropriate care according to resident preferences. Observe resident functioning and report any change in condition or behavior to supervisor.

Answer pages promptly according to the established protocol. Make rounds in community as assigned. Assist in preparing the dining room for meal service and serve residents' meals.

Serve meals in a resident's room when instructed to do so. Measure and record temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc. when requested.

VIEW JOBS 8/31/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-11-29T00:00 Job Summary/Position Overview: The Memory Care Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the memory care engagement program geared towards meeting a variety of physical and cognitive needs of residents. Offering a well balanced activity calendar according to the Arbor Company's six dimensions of wellness as well as accounting for resident individually and well-being is a top priority. The Memory Care Engagement Coordinator will also promote a high level of customer service and respect with residents and families. Success in this role is measured by: * Meeting or exceeding satisfactory marks on the company's engagement program checklists * High degree of resident engagement as evidenced on the company's calendar creation and participation tracking software * Excellent outcomes in resident and family satisfaction surveys Key Duties and Responsibilities * Develop, implement and oversee a robust memory care engagement program in accordance to the Arbor guidelines that meets the needs of all residents * Collaborate with the engagement director, memory care program director and executive director routinely on effectiveness of the engagement program * Provide engagement resources and training for memory care caregivers to effectively deliver engagement activities to support the overall memory care engagement program * Assist in managing the physical environment in the Memory Care Neighborhood to ensure cleanliness, appropriate noise levels and an atmosphere that supports the residents living there. * Use PPA (Positive Physical Approach) in all interactions with residents, family members, visitors, and fellow employees. * Actively participate in the culture of learning by attending cognitive care training, in-service training and staff meetings as scheduled. * Maintain excellent communication and a collaborative and open relationship with co-workers, the engagement director, memory care program director and executive director * Build deep connections with family members and interact with family members in a thoughtful and compassionate way and participate in sharing positive experiences of loved ones with family members per community specific guidelines. * Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality and respect. * Follow all community procedures and policies, including those listed in the orientation handbook, and do your best to live out the Arbor Service Way Minimum Qualifications * At least 1 year experience in programming for those with dementia * Extensive knowledge of dementia and its affects on cognitive functioning * Awareness of the social and emotional needs of seniors * Basic knowledge of computer systems particularly Outlook and Word * Valid driver's license Arbor Company Gambrills MD
