Caregiver (Cna, Hha, Pca) - Casual

Harmony Gardens Assisted Living, a beautiful, brand-new building in Maplewood, MN, is hiring compassionate Caregivers (CNA, HHA, PCA) - Casual to join our team. This is a brand new position created in mind for Caregivers who love their job and want flexibility while doing it! We will be paying a premium wage for these positions!

Our new campus opened in December 2022 and is only 2 miles away from Maplewood Mall, beautiful parks (Hazelwood and Harvest Park), and a variety of dining options. Our new state-of-the-art senior living community includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and long-term care options.

How Casual works: The Casual position requires Caregivers to pick up 1 weekend shift a month, 1 additional shift each month, and 1 holiday a year. This role works a maximum of 16 hours a month.

What does a Caregiver do?

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.

• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.

• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.

• Document services performed on computerized charting system.

• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.

• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.

• Perform additional tasks as needed.

What does a Caregiver require?

• MUST have AL experience

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA)

• A passion for geriatric care.

• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

• Ability to work a consistent work schedule.

• Must be 18 years or older.
