Your Team at Accenture

As a CareerWise Apprentice with Accenture, you will be part of an area of our company called Corporate Functions. Corporate Functions teams support our business in the areas such as Human Resources, Workplace Management, Finance and Marketing & Communications. These functions and the people who work in them are the engine that powers Accenture, enabling the company and our people to provide business solutions to our clients.

Your Role as an Apprentice

Finance Apprentice

The Corporate Development & Transaction Services (CDTS) team is responsible for the financial shaping and analysis of Accenture's largest client deals and for driving the Firm's Merger & Acquisition strategy and execution. As a Finance Apprentice on this team, you might spend your time:

  • Researching and summarizing information on the business performance of companies (clients or potential acquisition targets)

  • Assisting with the tracking and reporting of our deal pipeline

  • Generating and synthesizing reports

  • Shadowing CDTS team members

  • Assisting with internal team scheduling and communications

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Community Outreach and Events Apprentice (2 positions)

The Local Market team is the group within Accenture that represents the 6,000+ people that work in our New York Metro offices. Our team is the face of the Accenture office to the market, managing relationships with partners and local organizations. We also manage activities and events that connects our people to each other. We do this through planning events and programs that provide training, relationship building, and community service opportunities. As a Local Market Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Assisting in planning events - registration, set up, execution and budgeting

  • Assisting in supporting our many employee groups and clubs

  • Planning programs and events for our people to connect

  • Assisting in managing our Alumni network

  • Participating in managing our corporate citizenship events and opportunities

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Marketing & Communications Apprentice (2 positions)

As part of the North America Marketing and Communications team, you will help build a powerful brand that supports the Accenture strategy to grow our business. The team focuses on enhancing client relationships, inspiring our people and recruits, and helping our business grow. As a Marketing & Communications Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Providing support for employee or client attended events, including registration, set up, and on-site marketing

  • Developing and supporting the creation of marketing materials and communications related to programs

  • Shadowing Marketing team members

  • Assisting with internal team scheduling and communications

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Human Resources Apprentice (6 positions)

The Human Resources team develops and executes people strategies, programs and services across the employee lifecycle to recruit, develop and retain our employees. As a Human Resources Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Researching and analyzing internal and external strategies and programs

  • Assisting in creation and tracking of Human Resources programs and events

  • Generating and synthesizing reports

  • Shadowing Human Resources team members

  • Assisting with internal team scheduling and communications

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Innovation Apprentice (2 positions)

The New York Innovation Hub is the 'front door' for innovation opportunities and engagements in NY - partnering with Accenture teams and clients. What makes the Hub unique is their ability to provide unique experiences that are tailored to our client's strategic goals and working style.

The Innovation Hub team partners with clients to think differently and help them grow their business. This is done through hosting events with the client and other partners to better understand business challenges, bring fresh ideas & thoughts, and build new solutions to solve those challenges. As an Innovation Hub Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Observing and listening to clients/team members and documenting ideas, concerns, insights, notes, etc.

  • Researching and analyzing new innovative ideas

  • Participating in various operations activities that include technology support, client visit logistics, and local NYC market/community outreach

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Office Operations Apprentice (2 positions)

Workplace Management professionals provide office space and service support for all Accenture people. This team is responsible for supporting all aspects of our Accenture offices (reception, room reservations, office supplies, catering and office events, etc.). Our focus is to provide customer support with individualized attention, accurate information, efficient service and timely follow-up. As an Office Operations Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Greeting guests and employees

  • Providing employee and customer support

  • Preparing and maintaining conference rooms for executive meetings

  • Using an on-line tool to assign and confirm meeting space

  • Participating in various other operations activities that include creating guest badges, arranging for catering, and performing general administrative duties

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

Program Operations Apprentice (6 positions)

Program Operations activities are performed across all the Accenture Corporate Functions. This team works on the development and completion of projects that vary in size and complexity. As a Program Operations Apprentice, you might spend your time:

  • Conducting research and synthesizing information

  • Assisting in creation and tracking of programs and events

  • Assisting with internal team scheduling and communications

  • Coordinating various activities that could include project planning, logistics, and market/community outreach

  • Working on special projects as appropriate

  • Thursday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (maximum of four hours per day)
  • Extensive up-front training and development (100 hours during the first 5 months of the program).

  • No work on school holidays
