Elective This course introduces students to the principles of marketing. Topics include segmenting, targeting, market research, buyer behavior, distribution, retailing, advertising, selling, and international issues. Students gain an understanding of the marketing mix (product, distribution, promotion, and price) for a defined target market.

Marketing is articulated with MiraCosta College's BUS132 course. Students can earn 3 Units from MiraCosta College if they earn a B or higher on both their final exam/project and in the course. In addition, students must submit a MiraCosta College application and register for the course online via CATEMA; in-class support is provided for these steps.
