Your Job:

Hunter Hamilton has partnered with one of our Austin HQ'd clients, who is looking for a Career Strategist to join their Job Search Academy to coach and assist job seekers to become experts in job search and career management and participate in the marketing and operations of the Job Search Academy program.

In this newly created position, you will:

  • Demystify job search for job seekers, share best practices for job search and career management

  • Provide insights on job market trends as a public face of our client for job seekers and a member of our client's Job Search Academy career coaching team

  • Market the program via direct email and social media channels to job seekers, workers and job search and career services practitioners to position Hunter Hamilton's client as a thought leader and subject matter expert on job search and career management.

You will work closely with key partners in job seeker marketing - including our content, lifecycle and product marketing teams - as well as cross functional teams such as Job Seeker Acquisition, Social Impact, social media, Brand, Product and UX.

You will lead workshops and webinars and facilitate conversations with job seekers, career counselors and career services providers on job market trends and successful job search and career management strategies, and deliver instructional, informational and motivational speeches,, based on best practices for career coaching/advising, client data and job seeker focused products, content and resources, and your personal experience and expertise in career coaching, career counseling or career services.

You will maintain a social media presence as a thought leader/influencer in online job search and job market trends and endeavor to grow a following.

You must be a natural storyteller with exceptional presentation and coaching skills. Your breadth of professional experience and your understanding of the world of work will make you a credible and relatable advocate for the job seeker.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and execute compelling content-driven presentations, lead workshops and facilitate discussions and Q&A sessions based on best practices for career coaching/advising and internal data and job seeker focused products, content and resources in webinars, workshops and at events for organizations providing direct services to job seekers.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership and expertise in job search and recruiting trends.

  • Find opportunities to bring our client's job seeker products, content and perspective to job seeker service organizations such as college career centers, state workforce centers and nonprofit organizations.

  • Build positive relationships and work closely with social impact/community impact, job squad, job seeker experience, content and lifecycle marketing teams.

  • Develop educational/instructional tools and resources based on our client's internal data and job seeker services for use during meetings and workshops with job seekers.

  • Maintain a social media presence as a thought leader/expert in job search, online job search and job market trends.

  • Actively market the JSA to job seekers and providers of job search services using social media and available direct email and lifecycle marketing resources.

  • Plan and schedule open enrollment and custom JSA webinars using Zoom webinar tools.

Who you are:

  • You possess expertise understanding and interpreting job market trends, and communicating job search strategies and job search and career management behaviors that lead to success job search and career management.

  • You have experienced multiple job/career transitions, and you understand job search more from personal experience than from textbooks and lectures.

Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience providing job search or recruiting services such as career coaching, career advising/counseling, career center management, recruitment program management, recruiting or related roles.

  • Extensive experience delivering presentations, leading workshops and facilitating discussions and Q&A sessions that educate, inform, motivate and entertain.

  • Experience using social media to communicate, market, and influence.

  • Ability to interpret and use data to illustrate concepts, trends and strategies and convey meaning in non-technical terms.

  • Proven experience of being able to work across teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel periodically to deliver presentations across the U.S.

  • Ability to lead engaging and interactive webinar programs.
