Job Title Career Specialist, Healthy Careers Department Center for Community Outreach and Applied Research Pay Grade 7 Job Category Administrative Job Summary

The Healthy Careers initiative seeks to assist individuals in removing barriers and obtaining/ retaining employment in the healthcare field. This intensive case management position will work closely with healthcare partners to identify potential employees, assist with employment, and mentor participants in reaching new steps of the career ladder.

The position follows the State of TN holiday and inclement weather policies. All annual leave must be expended before termination of the grant or upon exiting the university. No provision exists for the payout of any annual leave hours not used.

Positions will begin in July 2024. Located in Chattanooga, TN

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Knowledge of the ETSU client database.

• Knowledge of local employers and job markets.

• Ability to demonstrate case management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a detail-oriented environment.

• Ability to lead classes in job readiness and life skills.

• Ability to develop professional relationships with employers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

OR

• (3) years of experience in a social services/social science-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Case management experience.

Salary $36,975-$43,900
