Primary Function:
The Career Readiness and Development Specialist plans, coordinates, and manages the development of individual school-based educational recruitment plans to assure students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators in our partnering middle and high schools have an awareness and understanding of the educational choices available to help students reach their individual career goals.

Essential Job Functions:
Build relationships with sending school administrators, counselors and internal staff to support the implementation of the educational recruitment program.
Coordinate site-based team to develop and implement individual school-based educational recruitment plans.
Act as primary communicator between site-based team and Francis Tuttle team to understand needs and concerns.
Work with site-based team and Francis Tuttle staff to engage volunteers in the implementation of the educational recruitment plan.
Coordinate the creation of strategies to meet performance measures established for the team.
Coordinate regular meetings with site-based team to ensure consistency of philosophy, processes, and practices associated with the educational recruitment plan.
Engage employees from across the district in the educational recruitment program.
Analyze data to support the continuous improvement of the site-based educational recruitment plans.

Performs other duties as necessary to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required.
Previous teaching, counseling or administration experience required.
Oklahoma Teacher, Administrator, or Counseling certification required.
Must demonstrate strong presentation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with a wide range of program areas.
Strong interpersonal and team skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft office components (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to consistently deliver superior customer service and work quality to internal and external customers.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment by prioritizing tasks and projects.
Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage heavy workload and work outside of regular work schedule in order to accommodate special projects and departmental deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with a sense of urgency.
Ability to cultivate, build, and maintain strong, long-term working relationships with individuals or organizations with diverse perspectives and backgrounds, adopting practices that promote diversity and equity, consequently maximizing opportunities for student engagement and motivation.

Working Conditions:
Standard school setting and office environment. Long periods of sitting and/or standing, ability to lift 10-30 lbs. Low-level machine noise is encountered the majority of every day. Concentrated visual effort is required. Extensive communication with internal and external customers. Will require travel between partner schools and all Francis Tuttle locations. Reliable, dependable and punctual attendance. This is not an exhaustive list and reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Organizational Relationship:
Full-time, certified, exempt personnel position reports directly to the Career Readiness and Development Manager.
Contract Details:
Twelve-month contract subject to annual renewal. Working days/hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours may vary during peak season. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Francis Tuttle offers a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employment to include paid health and dental insurance, a supplemental benefit compensation in the amount of four hundred sixty-five dollars per month, employee leave plan with family friendly work calendar, and 100% contribution into Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System.
This range represents individuals who are fully experienced and qualified, demonstrate sustained performance for a period of time and exhibit full proficiency in all aspects of their role.
