The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for the monitoring and implementing quality control systems.
This position will support a large water project in Kansas City area.
Responsibilities:
QC Representative will ensure the project CQC Plan is effectively and efficiently implemented to meet the requirements of the contract.
QC Representative shall be always on the site during construction.
Ability to write project specific quality control plans, incorporating the Client's requirements and specifications.
Work closely with and communicate daily with the CQC System Manager
Have knowledge of and comply with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
Exposure and experience in three phases of inspection procedures.
Interpret contract documents, specifications, and standards for evaluation of the Quality requirements.
Generate QC Daily Reports documenting daily activities.
Interface daily with production crews, superintendents, and Government field representative.
Ensure subcontractors and suppliers fulfill their quality specifications, codes, and standards outlined in the project specifications.
Ensure the project is being built to the specified quality specifications, codes, and standards outlined in the project specifications and plans.
Ensure the availability of current quality documents for use by the contractor and subcontractors.
Review and approve inspection and test plans when necessary.
Provide input on quality matters involving specific codes and specifications.
Provide oversight of testing and materials in conformance with the appropriate methods and frequencies as specified.
Generate test reports and associated inspection reports when necessary.
Verify and ensure implementation all corrective actions.
Responsible for the examination of materials for construction and the evaluation of the work for compliance with plans and specifications
Record, maintain, track and electronically share project information with the Government as required.
Ability to prepare punch list, pre-final inspection, handing over documents.
Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
And other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
Graduate engineer or a graduate of construction management
Minimum of 2 years construction experience in Heavy Civil construction
Minimum of 5 years in related work
ACI certifications and CQM Certification are preferred.
