Job Summary:

Responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients identified with special needs and/or those who meet nutritional risk criteria. Nutritional care includes patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, nutritional plan of care development, and documentation of all interventions in accordance with hospital policy and acceptable practice standards.

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Status: Full-time

Shift: Days

Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm

Job Essentials:

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working as a Registered Dietitian accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

• Experience in outpatient counseling, preferable having worked with patients with diabetes, bariatrics and/or womens health.

• Must possess the ability to provide clear and appropriate content with special consideration to the unique nutritional needs of patients of all ages and demographics; both individually and as a group.

• Possess the ability to communicate, both written and verbally, with participants, their families, medical personnel, and community agencies.

• Spanish speaking a plus

• Experience with Epic or another EHR system a plus

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Master's degree preferred.

Licensure/Registry/Certification

• NJ Licensed Dietitian or Nutritionist
