Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Principal, plan and teach a class within the specified career education subject area. The class will follow the California State CTE standards and provide students with relevant academic and technical instruction within the Welding industry. All classes will include appropriate work-based learning experiences for students, such as internships or industry-based projects. The selected candidate will develop relationships with local business partners in order to secure these opportunities for students. Work hours based on student enrollment (20-40 hours per week)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and possess a designated subject vocational education credential.

If applicant does not possess the credential, he/she must have at least three years of work experience directly related to the subject to be named on the credential. One year of the required work experience shall be within the last five years or two years within the last 10 years of the issuance of the credential. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid California driver license. Qualification for teacher certification directly related to program served.

All application materials must be submitted with a VCOE application as a complete package. A complete application package must include the following:

• Credential Copy (Designated Subjects Credential in Manufacturing and Product Development OR Single Subject Industrial and Technology Education)

• Letter of Introduction

• Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters dated within the last 18 months [LETTERS MUST BE DATED])

• Resume
