This is a continuous recruitment to create an applicant pool. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis when hiring managers have a position that needs to be filled in Career Development areas. Continuous postings will remain open for a period of 24 months. After this period, applications will become inactive.
The purpose of this position is to provide quality instruction in Career Development employability skills training programs at various MCC campus locations. Career Development courses are held predominately for the unemployed, underemployed, or recently laid off and can include classes in employability skills, career planning and assessment, career readiness, technology awareness, employability motivation and retention and economic literacy.
Teaches classes and instructs students who are unemployed or underemployed in all areas of job search preparation
Prepares lesson plans, lectures, course overviews and course syllabi
Selects appropriate learning material for assigned classes
Responsible for starting classes, preparing attendance roster and adhering to attendance class policies
Comprehending assessments in all areas of job search preparation and retention
Maintain professionalism as a representative of the college
Assist in marketing and recruiting students to attend classes
Perform other duties as assigned
