Job Description:
The Career Counselor in the Shah Center for Engineering Career Development is responsible for employer relations, student co-op engagement, and programing related to career events. The individual in this role is student focused and must be able to collaborate in a team environment and network with external entities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, psychology, business, or a related area
At least 2 years of experience in student advising, career counseling, employer relations, human resources, and/or event
planning, preferably in a higher education environment
Excellent written and verbal communication
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Team player
Flexible and adaptable to change
Problem solver
Critical and creative thinker
Ability to manage stressful situations, including Career Fair events
Must be able to engage with students who may be experiencing mental health issues
