We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Youth Career Counselor I within the DuPage County Workforce Development Division. The work
Net DuPage Career Center is funded through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and provides an extensive range of services to both job seekers and employers. Job seeker services include grants for job training programs, job search workshops, career counseling, a job search resource center, and more.
This is a grant funded position.

Conducts interviews with youth participants age 18-24 related to eligibility, barriers to employment, individual job search goals and development of individual service strategy
Develops individual goals with the participant related to employment, training, internships, job readiness and job search skills
Links participants to other partner agencies and colleagues as appropriate and works collectively toward self-sufficient employment for all individuals
Conducts on-going case management specific to the needs of each participant
Prepares, tracks and maintains participant information in department database from the program entry to program exit and follow up
Provides resource information regarding social services to participants and acts as an advocate when needed
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Education, Business, or a related field
One (1) year of related work experience
Must possess and maintain a valid Illinois Driver's License
A pre-employment background check is required.
