In this position, you will be able to leverage your existing relationships to establish and grow Orions King County DDA program. The Lead Employment Consultant will provide mentorship, leadership, guidance and support to direct reports. It will also interface heavily with individuals we support as well as community employers and is truly a life changing role with career and growth opportunities. If you have ever wanted to see a person improve their professional and personal life situation and succeed, this might be the role for you! The ideal candidate will have: * Professional experience working with or in the disability community (or a human services or social services background) * Experience job coaching, developing jobs in the community, and case management * Experience leading a team * Comfort in working within a role that requires counseling and other job coaching functions * A solutions based and outside the box approach to coaching of employees * Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken * A desire to be part of a collaborative, open, sharing team Position requirements: * Bachelors degree in related field or minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role in the DDA community Outgoing and confident in approaching businesses on behalf of people with disabilities * Excellent customer service skills ability to relate well to all customers including program participants, staff and external customers including referral sources and businesses * Excellent ability to communicate in English - both verbally and in writing * Ability to analyze, coordinate and synthesize information and reach sound conclusions * Strong computer literacy able to use Word, Excel and the Internet * Must have valid drivers license and personally insured vehicle * Ability to pass Orions driving abstract requirement to allow for transportation of clients * Present a positive, professional image in demeanor and dress to meet the public * Ability to apply positive support principles and strategies This position works normal office hours, Monday through Friday.
