Region 8 ESC, as one of the State-Approved Career Coaching Provider and

Intermediary, is committed to supporting our partner schools and districts. By providing

an integrated system that can help effectively utilize our offerings in their existing

programs. The Integration Specialist is the connective tissue that binds our offerings,

ensuring a solid foundation for sustainability and success. The position requires the

ability to travel to schools and organizations in northern and NE Indiana. Remote work

location with workspace available at Region 8 if needed. Review our approved grant

application for additional context and details of the overall initiative.

Specialists will work directly with schools and districts within Northeast Indiana to

strengthen and enhance current career development programming from K-12. There

are three primary resources that will be utilized:

● ASK-Assessing Self-Knowledge is a five-step framework for successful

transitions already in place at several Region 8 school districts.

● Agiliites is a set of resources and tools designed to expand students' career

pathways and help them become informed career decision-makers.

● CPRH is a newly developed local career pathways resource hub which connects

students to quality work-based learning opportunities

Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with district curriculum coordinators to incorporate Agilities into the

existing curriculum.

● Work closely with passionate educators and career coaches to champion and

embed ASK components in daily teaching practices.

● Engage with guidance counselors and local employers to effectively utilize and

integrate resources from the Career Pathways Resource Hub (CPRH).

● Provide ongoing support to educators, career coaches, and community partners.

● Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure the effective integration of

ASK and Agilities.

● Develop resources and materials to assist educators in embedding these

components into their programs.

● Willingness to attend in-state or out-of-state training required to build core

knowledge of ASK and Agilities.

Credentials and Expertise:

● Four-year college degree

● Familiarity with career coaching and pathways

● Effective communication and interpersonal skills

● Strong organizational and project management skills

● Passionate about career education and committed to improving student

outcomes

● Ability to lead in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders

● Data analysis skills and familiarity with a variety of data sets

● Proficient technology skills
