High School Diploma or GED required, with at least two (2) years' experience or additional education in providing training or supports to individuals seeking employment and/or job skills training. Two (2) year degree in a related field preferred.
Must have advanced computer skills, including experience entering data in cloud- based information management systems or other similar systems and programs, with the ability to use a variety of office and production equipment including the ability to troubleshoot problems.
Minimum key boarding skills of 40 WPM.
Requires a basic understanding of alpha numeric filing. Requires demonstrated ability to learn and use current and future technology to fulfill job responsibilities.
Must have knowledge of job search, interview and hiring practices and the ability to assist customers in moving through each stage, and a knowledge of community resources for disadvantaged populations preferred.
Consideration may be given to people with Imatch skills experience, government eligibility guidelines knowledge and understanding of disadvantaged populations, curriculum design experience, and person-centered planning experience. Consideration may be given, as needed by the program, for those with secondary language skills including but not limited to: Spanish and Russian.
Requires excellent organization skills. Must be able to exercise the continuous and effective use of interpersonal, relationship and communication skills with all internal and external customers and stakeholders. Requires effective listening skills, including observation of customers' actions and nonverbal messages through the use of emotional intelligence in all communications and situations. Requires adaptability to rapidly changing and new initiatives.
Requires the ability to work independently and within a team setting to collaboratively build a culture of trust within the work unit and organization; have the ability to engage customers, identify barriers and to see the potential in all people; and have knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect customers with those.
Must employ critical thinking skills to assess and manage customer plans; and understand and practice confidentiality at all times.
Must have current Oregon driver's license, acceptable driving record, insurability and ability to get from worksite to worksite in a timely manner.
Must pass required criminal history and other background screenings.
