Career And Adult Learning Services - Medical Assisting Instructor 50% FTE

For over thirty years, the Santa Cruz County Office of Education has offered a pathway for adult learners to pursue a career as a Medical Assistant. Our 10-month program provides students with the didactic instruction, skills, internship experience, and certifications necessary to perform the duties of a medical assistant.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to apply the basic principles of medical assisting in both an administrative and clinical setting with a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and empathy. The department is looking to fill a 0.5 FTE position.

Applicant must hold, or be eligible for, a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Credential in the area of Health Science and Medical Technology. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid driver's license.
