Humana Gold Plus Integrated is seeking a Care Management Support Assistant who typically focuses on interpretation of department policy and methods for completing assignments, helps to create authorizations, and works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards but has some latitude over prioritization/timing.

The Care Management Support Assistant contributes to the administration of care management and provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members and families toward resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Care Management Support Assistant performs computations and varied activities with moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in the Greater Chicago area/suburban Cook or nearby surrounding counties in the State of Illinois.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • 2+ years of administrative support experience in a healthcare industry.

  • 1+ year of customer service experience.

  • Position is considered Hybrid Office with a requirement to be in the office at least three days per week (Schaumburg, IL).

Work at Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Associates who live and work from home (in a full-time capacity, not Hybrid-Office) in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or higher degree.

  • Prior billing/claims or authorization experience.

  • Bilingual a plus.

  • Previous experience working with Medicaid, Long Term Care, or Medicare members.

  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Additional Information

  • Work Location: Hybrid Office, the office location is in Schaumburg, IL.

  • Workstyle: Hybrid Office (at least three days in the office).

  • Core Workdays & Hours: 8-5 pm Monday - Friday; Central Standard Time (CST) with flexible scheduling (i.e. occasional nights and weekends)

Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Hire Vue, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
