In addition, this role provides assessment of the client and family's needs and leads the team in providing treatment to support the family toward meeting their goals. Clients are aged 0-21 years of age, and this position is community-based. Services are provided where the family is most comfortable.

About Seneca's Wraparound Programs

The focus of Seneca Wraparound programs is to offer family-centered, individualized, culturally relevant, and strength-based support to families with complex and enduring needs. Wraparound works in close partnership with Department of Social Services, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health, and group homes. Wraparound provides strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth by drawing upon community and family strengths. Treatment and support services are tailored to address behaviors and meet family needs, even as they change over time.

Seneca has developed a clinical practice model which integrates ideas and methodologies from three intellectual traditions that are not usually discussed together: attachment theory (to build healthy relationships), learning theory (to replace negative behaviors with positive ones) and systems theory (to address environmental factors). At the core of the Wraparound model is the Family Team, comprised of the child/youth, family members, and other adults connected with the child/youth, the County representative who referred the child/youth for Wraparound, and Seneca staff including a Facilitator, Support Counselor, and Family Partner, The Wraparound team builds consensus and leverages the strengths of its members to identify and meet needs that require intervention to support the child/youth and family in reaching their long-term goals.
