Pace University's Residential Life is recruiting for the CARE Assistant Residence Director role. This live-in position works 20 hours per week and requires evening commitments. Additional compensation will include a meal plan and professional development funds. This role will report to the Director of Residential Life with support from the Associate Director, Student Services and Associate Director, Residential Life.

Position Duties

• Provides non-clinical case management of residential students of concern for up to 2,300 students.

• Provide outreach and education to the Pace Residential Community to promote help-seeking, resources (i.e., Counseling Center, WellTrack), reduce stigma, and teach individuals how to recognize signs of distress.

• Assist in developing and reviewing policies, procedures, and other written materials to reflect current practice.

• Assess and evaluate monthly outreach, program, and training effectiveness.

• Act as a liaison between several campus partners (i.e., Dean for Students, Counseling Center, Academic Advising, etc.) and Residential Life.

• Maintain professional and effective relationships with students, faculty, administration, and staff.

• Attend and participate in departmental, divisional, and university-wide meetings.

• Serve in an on-call crisis response for 2,300 residential students and respond to professional staff calls in crises.

• Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

• Evidence of excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, and crisis response experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
