Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Description Summary: Position requires considerable technical ability, experience and judgment to perform cardiovascular ultrasound and evaluate the quality of data for Cardiologist interpretation. Must have substantial knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular disease, dynamics of blood flow, Doppler and color flow imaging techniques.

Expected to have a detailed understanding of ultrasound instrumentation, cardiovascular physiology and pathology, hemodynamics and the ability to relate these findings into clinically meaningful data. Located just minutes from the shores of Padre Island, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South provides surgical and medical services for our patients in south Corpus Christi. Perfectly positioned to serve the rapidly-growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds.

South offers a full range of medical and surgical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive care as well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enables recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies. Requirements: High School Diploma Minimum of one (1) year of full time experience in Cardiac ultrasound. Must have considerable experience performing routine echoes including color flow, pulse wave, and continuous wave Doppler, stress, echo, pharmacologic stress and TEE.

Also experience using contrast echo agents. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI. BLS Work Type: Per Diem As Needed EEO is the law - click below for more information:
