Under general supervision, makes preparation, operates equipment and assists physicians in performing cardiac catheterizations and other special procedures; performs hemodynamic monitoring and other duties as assigned. Performs radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature to demonstrate vascular patency in a variety of anatomical parts. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Cardiovascular Technologist. Performs examinations on patients of various ages from adult to geriatric.


  • Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. Ensures proper identification and collimation, using appropriate markers, develops film as required.

  • May assist in the use of a variety of equipment or procedure not routinely taught.

  • Handles equipment in a responsible, professional manner.

  • Transfers and properly position patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

  • Assists physician during procedures, working with specialized equipment. Assists physicians in performance of examinations by programming injectors, administering opaque media, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures.

  • Demonstrates Customer Service principles and behaviors appropriately.

  • Receives verbal orders for examination from a responsible practitioner in keeping with their state license.

  • Adheres to prescribed standards for Radiation Safety. Participates in Quality Improvement and Safety Programs.

  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks to include; pulling jackets, inputting/editing exams, and completion of requisition prior to setting films to be read.

  • Takes advantage of opportunities for continuing education as provided by the department or seminars available for the various specialties, cross training in specialized areas.

  • Ensures appropriate recording of hours worked, adhering to hospital policy.

  • Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High school graduate required

  • Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology


  • State of Florida license required

  • ACLS and BLS required

  • RCIS required


  • Previous Cath Lab experience preferred.


  • Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary and to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date

  • Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum images with a minimum exposure to patients

  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment with patients during radiographic procedures

  • Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired radiographic image

  • Ability to help patients from bed or stretchers utilizing proper body mechanics. Have to stand for long periods of time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for accurately performing all basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (included, but not limited to): * Accurately performs and documents monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned * Performs basic billing functions * Accurately performs required calculations * Accurately and safely compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures * Accurately transports medications and other pharmacy supplies in a timely manner to appropriate areas * Accurately fills orders in the pharmacy * Performs daily ADC routines as assigned (i.e. restocks, outdates, discrepancy resolution,loading and unloading, etc.) * Accurately packages and prepares medications for dispensing as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Active Registered pharmacy technician, as per State requirements, in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy required * National Certification (CPhT) preferred * Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred An EEO/AA Employer M/F/V/D HCA Oviedo FL
