The Cardiovascular Data Abstractor (CDA) promotes the utilization of data collection findings in clinical practice. Facilitates and/or conducts data collection independently and/or collaboratively.
Minimum of 2 years of data abstraction or analyst work experience in healthcare.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and report management/report writing.
Must have understanding of medical terminology.
Data collection identification and accurate data entry.
Experience with PC's, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications is necessary.
Proficient in MS Excel is key.
Experience with Meditech/Cerner is beneficial and knowledgeable with TJC Standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
Clinical License is preferred.
