The Department of Surgery is seeking a dynamic, innovative Cardiothoracic Surgeon who has the leadership and vision to build a state-of-the-art clinical and research program at UW Health. The incumbent will have a leadership position in heart failure surgery for the UW system, including heart transplantation and ventricular assist. Close collaboration with heart failure cardiology in a multidisciplinary program is expected.

The position will provide clinical care to the full range of pediatric orthopedic conditions in a busy clinical setting at the American Family Children's Hospital, a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center featuring nationally recognized pediatric specialists. The position will have an active role in medical student, resident, fellow, and other learner education, including clinical and didactic teaching. The position will be expected to participate in clinical research. The position will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of this position's duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
