Cardiopulmonary ICU Supervisor RRT (Days)

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties in accordance with hospital policy procedure under general supervision. This can include administering of respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This individual will be held to a high level of customer service representation and will be an active participant in the continuous quality improvement process. The RRT ICU supervisor will also be responsible for the oversight of all activities of the therapists assigned to him her and be involved in the training and evaluation of these employees.

Education

Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework

Experience

Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Licenses & Certifications

• ACLS Certification

• Healthcare Provider (CPR)

• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider

• Registered Respiratory Therapist

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA accredited school for Respiratory Therapy.

• Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

• Must complete NRP and ACLS within first 6 months of employment.

spent out of staffing. 1 weekend will be worked each 6 weeks defined as a Saturday and Sunday. Supervisor goes into the Resource Call Schedule.
