Cardiology NP

Overview

Mercyhealth, an award-winning fully integrated health care delivery organization based in southcentral Wisconsin and northern Illinois, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our General Cardiology team at our new, state-of-the-art facility, Javon Bea Hospital

• Riverside in Rockford, Illinois.

Opportunity:

• Join an excellent team of two non-invasive cardiologists, two interventional cardiologists, two EP cardiologists, two Cardiovascular Surgeons and a vascular surgeon

• Our team also includes seven APPs, and a strong RN staff, and other support staff.

• Fantastic working schedule of Monday

• Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

• No Holidays, No Call and No Weekends!

• Coverage will include: hospital rounding and main clinic

• Responsibilities to include: following up on patients, new consults and discharging weekly

• Enjoy a high level of independence

• Outstanding referral system from primary care

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well independently and under pressure.

• Strong communication/interpretive and analytical skills.

• A high level of independent judgment and ability to handle empowerment for independent action.

• Ability to pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Worker's Background Check.

Education/Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited MSN program

• Current IL RN license

• Current IL APRN license

• Current DEA number

• ATLS certification

• Other certifications as required
