Cardiac Ultrasound Technician I

Responsibilities

Under general direction, the Cardiac Ultrasound Tech will operate the echocardiology lab in the Cardiology Department, obtaining ordered studies, doing preliminary reading, processing reports and paperwork. The Cardiac Ultrasound Tech will assure that assessment and care is appropriate to the age of patients served: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Vocational diploma Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular training program And Over 1 year to 3 years, required.

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer

• Certified or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

• Certified, upon hire, required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS), Within 2 weeks of hire, preferred.
