Sentara Heart Hospital located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cardiac Technician for the Cardiac Cath Holding Care Recovery Unit!

Position Overview:

Cardiac Technician will assist staff in the Cath Holding Care Unit. Candidate should have 1-2 years of patient care experience. Cardiac tech will recover patients for procedures done in the Cath, Non-Invasive and EP Lab. Tech will place IVs, draw labs, set up telemetry monitor, pull sheaths, and transport patients.

Position is for a 9A-9P working 3 days a week Monday- Friday.

Education/Certification/Experience

High School Grad or Equivalent

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

o 1-2 years of patient care experience

o EKG Holter Monitor Hook-up experience ideal

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Certification

• American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)

• Certification

• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
