Cardiac Sonographer-Casual Prime

POSITION SUMMARY The cardiac/vascular sonographer (Casual Prime) is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.# The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.# For Casual Prime status, Trinity does not provide benefits, food, or housing when paying Prime Rate.# MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required RDCS, CCI, RDMS, or ARRT(S) registered (required within 2 years when NDMIRTBE license is conditional) NDMIRTBE license or NDMIRTBE Conditional license Current American Heart Association Healthcare provider BLS required within 30 days of hire Educational Requirements Echocardiography/Vascular Technologist: RDCS, CCI, RDMS, or ARRT registered (required within 2 years when NDMIRTBE license is conditional) RVT optional Will be cross trained into pediatric echo and vascular ultrasound if no formal vascular education has been completed Experience Requirements Experience preferred, but not required New graduates welcome to apply Special Skills or Training Requirements Graduate of a formal Echocardiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is preferred
