Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) you will have the opportunity to use your nursing care experience in a uniquely impactful way. You will provide quality individualized preventive, supportive cardiac care to each patient. You will be joining a collaborative team that values extraordinary patient care and dedication to one another. In this role:

• You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.

• You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.

• You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations

• You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient and needed.

• You will oversee the medically monitored exercise program

• You will read telemetry strips to determine abnormal rhythms

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska

• Associate Degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.

• A minimum of one year of direct nursing experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary service line (Cath Lab, ICU, ED, etc.)

• Prefer 3-5 years of prior Cardiac Rehab experience

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification preferred
