JOB SUMMARY
The Cardiac Electrophysiologist is a highly trained physician specialized in the rhythm and electrical system along with the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. This physician will work alongside internal medicine providers, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other specialists to care for patients.
Typical Duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical college or university
Valid license as a Physician in the State of Illinois or have the ability to obtain license prior to starting employment.
Valid Illinois Controlled Substance License or ability to obtain License two (2) weeks prior to starting employment
Valid licensure with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) or eligible to obtain Federal DEA licensure two (2) weeks prior to starting employment

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States' territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Must successfully meet the credentialing standards established by the Cook County Health and Hospitals System to include a State of Illinois MD license and any other license, certification, or specialized training, etc. no later than two (2) weeks prior to the candidate's start date
