Job Summary: At the direction of a electrophysiologist , operates cardiac diagnostic equipment in order to perform cardiac diagnostic studies including cardiac device checks, electrocardiogram, diagnostic studies including device follow-up testing and remote testing for all device companies.

Experience reviewing and managing remote device data.

Minimum Requirements:
B.A./B.S.

Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life science, engineering or technical discipline or certification in a recognized national cardiac association (ex: Certified Cardiac Tech, CCT). Minimum of three years work experience working with cardiac devices. Must demonstrate proficiency in function and maintenance of implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) and pacemakers.

Ability to perform device interrogations, pacemaker telephone checks, full ICD/pacemaker interrogation, remote device transmissions, including accurate charting and reporting of device performance. Troubleshooting critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clinical care team - physicians, patients, and coworkers.

Participate in a positive proactive inter and intra departmental communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology, specific to electrophysiology, cardiac anatomy and physiology, and cardiac dysrrhythmias.

Licensure and Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification BLS;ACLS #

Includes patient scheduling and prioritization, technical ability, documentation, and follow-up. Participates in orientation and instruction of students and assigned personnel. Collaborates with other staff and physicians for optimal patient care. Operates other cardiac equipment as needed. Minimum Requirements: Successful completion of formal education program in cardiac ultrasound, or must have had previous on-the-job training in cardiac ultrasound and have experience in performance of cardiac ultrasound testing. If not currently Registered, must obtain Registration within one (1) year of being hired. Thorough knowledge of cardiac ultrasound physics, cardiac anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates eye-hand coordination, mechanical and analytical aptitude. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate effectively with physicians, patients and hospital staff. Demonstrates computer skills. Ability to transport ultrasound equipment to all patient locations. Able to multitask and work under stress. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: Registration through national organization in cardiac ultrasound. Minimum one (1) year experience performing adult and pediatric cardiac ultrasound.
