Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Responsibilities

As directed by the Invasive Cardiologist and Department Manager, provides direct patient care including diagnostic and/or therapeutic invasive procedures. May provide other support services, dictated by patient needs, as a delivery team member. On call hours required for 24/7 after hour coverage for emergencies and urgent procedures with a response time of 30 minutes. The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients served and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech practices within the scope of licensure and adheres to standards set forth by Grand View Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Vocational diploma from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Science required OrVocational diploma from a AMA approved radiologic technology program And Over 6 months to 1 year in the Interventional field required Associate's Degree and over 1 year to 3 years invasive cardiology or interventional radiology experience preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems, requiredLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:RCIS certification from CCI or R.T.(R) registration from ARRT, Upon hire, required

Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Upon hire, required

Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course, Within 60 days of hire, required Responsibilities Monday to Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm, Call rotation every third week.
