Position Summary:

Performance of technical work and related patient care involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and interventional radiology. Performs radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature requiring attention to sterile technique, close patient observation and specialized radiographic equipment. Performs diagnostic or/and interventional studies. Requires commitment to on call assignment with 30 minute onsite expectation.

Licensure/Certification/Education (Required):

List any license, certification or education required for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)

• American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• American Red Cross OR American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR (BLS)
• Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree or 5 years of equivalent experience plus passing the RCIS exam within 1 year of employment

Licensure/Certification/Education (Preferred):

List any license, certification or education preferred for this job (e.g. driver's license, RN License, HHA Certification, Master's Degree, etc.)

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

Specialized Skills (Required):

List the minimum specific knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job (e.g., homecare exp., med/surg exp., basic accounting principles/practices, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)

• I.A.B.P. and Impella

• Basic EKG recognition, ability to perform EKG and recognize dysrhythmias

• Radiation Safety

• Perform Procedures Using Sterile Technique

• Assist Cardiologists in Cardiac Procedures

• Understanding of Hemodynamics

Specialized Skills (Preferred):

List any preferred knowledge and skills necessary to perform this job.

• Critical Care/ Cath Lab experience

• Certification in area of specialty

• Treatment of high risk PCI

• Structural Heart

• Peripheral experience

• CRM experience
