This role will lead acquisitions marketing analytics for Co-brand products on several different aspects of acquisitions, including analytics for quarterly investment decisioning & optimization, new account forecasting, customer segmentation, ideation & construction of pricing/offer tests, etc. Ideal candidate will have a desire to work in a demanding environment with substantial interaction with business, appetite for managing processes, possess strong technical skills & experience in analytical functions.

The Quant Analytics Sr Assoc will focus on Acquisition marketing & investment decisioning analytics for a single/multiple Partner Credit Card product. They will be responsible to drive acquisitions optimization & growth strategies related to offers & channels for specific products working very closely with product business leadership. The individual will work in a highly collaborative environment with different functional teams such as finance, risking, campaign management etc. and is expected to play a key role in devising strategies and enable decision making - areas include new account growth, improving vintage profitability, channel optimization, segmentation strategies that will allow profit targeting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for analytics related to investment decisioining & acquisition optimization (Offers, Pricing, Channel) for specific partner card product. Perform new account forecasting for quarterly investment process, root cause analysis on drivers of variance against budget - ability to drive to granular segments/strategies

  • Drive forecasting automation and process improvements leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, etc. and reduce dependence on legacy methods

  • Be an expert in your area to understand acquisitions trends and implications from diverse set of strategic initiatives and market place dynamics

  • Perform deep dive customer profile and segmentation analysis to understand impact on performance with different offering strategies & help develop optimized premium & pricing strategies for maximizing business growth and financial profitability

  • Interact regularly with business units, understand business goals and priorities & play the role of an effective partner to devise strategies with customer focused analysis & channel performances to realize growth opportunities

  • Leverage segmentation techniques to develop strategies that can be leverage in various acquisitions channels to improve profitability / ROI

  • Proactively bring ideas to the table for the larger acquisitions COE to drive efficiencies and targeting


  • Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics; Advanced degree in analytics field preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience within marketing, finance or risk analysis; experience evaluating complex business problems, data analysis and devising recommendations - experience in forecasting techniques is preferred as well

  • Proficiency writing code to query data using SAS and/or SQL, working knowledge of database environments to perform data analysis in Oracle and/or Unix and/or Teradata environment

  • Skills in other languages such as R, Python is not a must but desired & knowledge of tools like Tableau, Alteryx will be preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Understanding of the key drivers within the credit card P&L is preferred

  • Proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

This will require deep understanding of our platforms, capability, data assets and analytic tools to craft the vision for the future and develop a roadmap to get there. The candidate will partner strategically across the firm with marketers, channel owners, digital experts, and the broader analytics community to help drive business goals through deep understanding of marketing analytics and optimization. The ideal candidate in this role with have a foundation of professional experiences to call on with depth in financial services, marketing, data and analytics as well as strong intellectual curiosity and communication skills. The candidate should be self-driven and independent, motivated to establish and grow a platform to push the business forward. Performance Measurement & Strategy * Establish and track channel performance KPIs, communicating findings to senior CCB leadership to improve strategy * Build business-critical data capabilities like marketing attribution, valuation of customer engagement, and tracking of cross-channel marketing touches for each customer Governance & Optimization * Forecast performance of campaigns to prioritize resources towards high-potential initiatives * Identify areas of improvement in ad-level performance, delivering recommended optimizations to marketers and channel management Personalization * Drive a more personalized communication strategy enabled by development of better targeting and streamline customer journeys * Provide opportunity assessment (audience sizing, revenue estimation, customer experience improvements) in partnership with line of business/product analytics teams Web Behavior * Identify opportunities for a better digital user experience through studying customer journey on the site and mobile app * Work with the website technology team closely to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements Testing * Craft test designs, interpret results, translate results into a program's impact to the company, prepare final documents, and present results to senior management in a fast-paced cadence Qualifications * 5+ years of experience owning an analytics book of work, with a financial services and marketing focus preferred * 3+ years leveraging data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) for data exploration and marketing performance evaluation * Comfort building and managing relationships with both analytics and business stakeholders * Proven track record of problem-solving using data and building new analytics capabilities * Experience in querying big data platforms and SAS/SQL querying * Experience with best-in-class web analytic tools (Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.) * Superior written, oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating concisely and effectively with all levels of management and partners * Bachelor's degree is required, with data science, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, engineering, MIS, or related fields preferred Jpmorgan Chase & Co.
