Capobianco Specialty Foods in Bohemia, NY seeks a full-time experienced Sales and Operations Manager.

Capobianco Specialty Foods is a food distributor that distributes product wholesale to local business owners. This position will assist the CEO in overseeing all internal operations of the business.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Operations Manager with a strong background in outside sales, technical sales, and account management, with a proven track record of success. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our sales processes, managing key accounts, and driving business development initiatives.

Position:

• Sales and Operations Manager

Compensation:

• $70-85K BOE
• Paid bi-weekly
• Quarterly bonus pay
• Paid time off

Schedule requirements:

• Weekdays
• 8:30am to 5:00pm

Experience required:

• College degree or higher with at least 3+ years in a managerial or sales position in the food industry
• Proven experience in business development, account management, and outside sales in the food industry
• Strong computer skills including Excel and other software programs
• Ordering & receiving, inventory
• Staff education, training, and motivation
• Staff scheduling
• Managing
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting and carrying of heavy objects
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job scope:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objective
• Manage and grow key accounts, building strong relationships with clients
• Lead business development efforts to identify new opportunities and expand market reach
• Strong technical sales background with the ability to understand complex products
• Creating purchase orders for our suppliers
• Maintaining an accurate inventory level for all order fulfillment
• Obtaining orders from customers, inputting them into the system, and invoicing them accurately
• Communicate with customers to address any concerns or issues related to deliveries or product questions
• Arranging freight for pickups with multiple 3rd party carriers
• Logistical and routing efficiency for all outgoing deliveries
• Communication and assistance to/with delivery
• Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including invoices and delivery logs
• Receiving incoming shipments and checking all quantities for accuracy and condition
• Unload, rotate, and organize all incoming shipments
• Maintaining a clean work environment in the warehouse
• Picking/palletizing all outgoing orders accurately and ensuring safe packaging for transit
• Creating and maintaining proper documentation and records of all files
