Job Description:

The Capital Pricing and Contracts Analyst will work within NuVasive's Pricing and Contracts team with responsibility for consistent implementation of NuVasive's pricing strategy and support of our Sales team's contracting efforts. This includes operational and analytical support towards all facets of contract and pricing implementation. In this role, you will support NuVasive's Sales team by gaining account access on NuVasive favorable terms in support of revenue & profitability objectives.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Facilitating responses to RFPs (Request for Proposal), including pricing development, pricing analysis, review and red-line of legal documents, and partnering with legal to coordinate legal response in accordance with corporate policies.

  • Support the Sales team with pricing strategy and rationale behind corporate position to help facilitate positive outcomes in pricing discussions. This requires expertise on all products and pricing strategies.

  • Maintain awareness of customer buying group affiliations in managing pricing transparency.

  • Provide Sales Team with reports/tools to assist in customer negotiations, including analysis of pricing proposals to ensure compliance with corporate profitability objectives.

  • Negotiate both agreement terms and pricing directly with customers.

  • Drive consistency in the contracting process and pricing strategy by timely execution, maintenance, and extension of agreements

  • Ensure that signed contracts and changes are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, to support successful implementation

  • Collaborate with the Pricing Team to coordinate the implementation of pricing contracts and assist in resolving contract related pricing issues

  • Ad hoc reporting & analysis as needed

  • Other tasks as required to support customer contracting and pricing implementation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in reviewing financial data, contracts, and making recommendations based on analysis

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (including Microsoft Access and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel)

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP and/or Cognos experience is a plus.

  • Medical device and Capital Sales experience are a plus.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager of SOLUTE, this position will efficiently administer the provisioning, routing, and execution of contract modifications and similar contract deliverables. The environment is extremely dynamic due to the pace of contract awards and the variety of contract agreements that must be administered.</p><p>This position will participate with the contract administration and finance departments to develop policies and procedures. They will work as part of the contracts team to ensure subcontracts are following applicable laws and regulations, to identify and advises management regarding subcontracts risks, and coordinates internal and external audits. </p><p><strong>Daily Responsibilities </strong></p><ul> <li>Issue, track, negotiate and implement subcontract and independent contractor agreements, including but not limited to implement non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, policies, and processes contract modifications.</li> <li>Issue purchase orders, including modifications.</li> <li>Prepare solicitations, analyze and evaluate bids and proposals, to include Price/Cost Analysis and Source Selection, to ensure they meet company policy and department operating procedures. </li> <li>Identifies contract and subcontract issues and develops solutions. </li> <li>Participate in and may lead negotiating and modifying standard subcontract provisions and assists in negotiating and modifying non-standard contracts/subcontracts. </li> <li>Review, draft as necessary, and negotiate terms and conditions of non-disclosure and teaming agreements. </li> <li>Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide review and interpretation of terms and conditions. </li> <li>Represent the organization as an administrative contact on assigned contracts and make presentations as required. </li> <li>Maintain, analyze, update, and develop various electronic and hard copy records. </li> <li>Maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts, including export considerations. </li> <li>Participate in the selection, development, and training of contract staff.</li> <li>Utilize MS Office Suite, SAP and other applications.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned or required.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>3+ years of relevant experience</li> <li> Must possess the ability to quickly grasp new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule and coordinate multiple work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level. <br> </li> <li>Must have experience in cost type as well as fixed price contracting.<br> </li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of representing the organization as a primary contact on contract matters with program management, vendors, and customers and, provide leadership to less experienced professional employees on projects. <br> </li> <li>Issue, track, negotiate and implement contract and independent contractor agreements.<br> </li> <li>Issue, track, negotiate, and implement non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements with subcontractors.<br> </li> <li>Issue purchase orders, including modifications.<br> </li> <li>Draft and issue RFP documents to subcontractors.<br> </li> <li>The ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Benefits include</p><li>401(k) Match</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, and more</li><li>Highly Competitive Salary</li><li>Educational Reimbursement </li><li>Paid Time Off &amp; 10 Paid Holidays</li><p>SOLUTE is an equal opportunity employer.
