What we're looking for in a Capital Markets Specialist

The ideal candidate for the Capital Markets Specialist position at SkyOne Federal Credit Union must possess a diverse set of skills to thrive in this dynamic role. Essential abilities include proficiency in distributing various reporting documents and correspondence, negotiating loan transactions, tracking completed deals, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Strong analytical skills are crucial for monitoring market trends, conducting collateral analytics, and performing data analytics for investments.

Effective communication skills are key in engaging with investment brokers, building a sales network, and presenting portfolio performance data internally and externally. The successful candidate should also have experience in developing cash flow projection models and participating in due diligence processes for loan transactions. Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders are essential for this multifaceted position.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Distributes all reporting documents including monthly investor reports and remittances notices and ad hoc reporting and correspondence.

• In consultation with the management team the Capital Market Specialist helps facilitate the negotiation of terms and conditions of loan purchase and sale transactions for the benefit of SkyOne.

• Tracks completed transactions performs look-back analysis and enforces contract terms.

• Reviews transactions and related documents and verifies work processes to ensure completeness accuracy and conformance to established service levels and applicable policies and procedures.

• Monitors market and industry trends including in-depth investor industry asset and competitor research.

• Supports engagement with investment brokers and builds direct sales network through incoming inquiries and reaching out to established contacts.

• Assists with preparing marketing and portfolio performance and characteristics for internal and external use including offering sheet and other ad hoc reports.

• Conducts loan level collateral analytics and data stratification to monitor collateral drift and other collateral level issues.

• Conducts data analytics related to existing and new potential investments with reporting to various levels of management.

• Supports the Finance team to develop robust cashflow projection models for a variety of structured products in buying and selling loan model.

• Participates in execution of whole loan transaction (flow deals) and participation due diligence and closing processes and ensures documentation is in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Assists with establishing, documenting and maintaining departmental procedures and system requirements.

• Assists with performing due diligence on pre-funding or sale/purchase of loans or investment including but not limited to; NIM, credit quality, buy box, pricing, servicing agreement.

• Provides support for settlement, safekeeping and documentation including processing buy and sell transactions in the Credit Union's fixed income securities portfolio.

• Prepare and provides insights on peer benchmark, market and industry analysis including but not limited to; economic indicators, ratio and rates for various stakeholders.
