As a Capital Markets Senior Data Analyst, you will:
Focus on strategic initiatives in Capital Markets, with a core concentration on leveraging technology solutions to improve process. A key responsibility will be to fully immerse within the day-to-day operations of the Capital Markets department, in order to gain a working understanding of each teams pain points, and help develop targeted solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will partner with Capital Markets vendors and our Tech Lead to explore opportunities to leverage or build-out existing technologies that could increase our automation efforts. This role will help drive a data strategy for Capital Markets Ops that will explore the use of various platforms and service models to produce self-service reporting, analytics, and integration.
This role provides strategic project management and technical subject matter expertise driving the execution of key Operations initiatives and activities; ensuring timely delivery in support of critical business success measurement goals as defined in Operations.
Drive resolution of issues / ineffectiveness with Baird vendor and implementation of vendor technology investment.
Provide complex problem solving to help define and deliver on long-term strategic planning efforts to ensure that the operating unit is positioned to meet and exceed the needs relative to key Operations activities and Baird clients.
Identify opportunities for optimizing business productivity and ensure data integrity expertise throughout the process.
Drive productivity, efficiency and effectiveness initiatives (PE&E) and develop and implement new procedures to monitor productivity, quality output levels and increased efficiency.
Maintain an understanding of the issues with internal partners and share information and key updates with the Operations team.
Partner and actively interact with their Manager, Technical Lead and Operations leadership as a productive and collaborative member of the Operations team.
Partner with Operations leadership to adhere to regulatory guidelines.
Effectively manage the data available through internal and third-party sources
Write queries or reports to help quantify our risk exposure, model predictive scenarios, establish relative data benchmarking, and monitor business decisions
Collate, model, interpret, and analyze data to assist in decision making, identifying business trends, conducting root cause analysis, and suggesting areas for process improvement
Integrate data from multiple sources or functional areas, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and update data, as needed.
Create tailored Capital Markets reports for efficient distribution and accurate messaging to senior leadership.

What we look for:
Bachelor's degree with 5+years of relevant. Experience should cover multiple functions, preferably within a diversified financial services firm or financial services regulatory body and include extensive knowledge of policies and procedures in the client services business model.
Series 7 license required or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills leading to trusting relationships with business partners and their leadership team.
The ability to convey issues credibly to internal and external stakeholders is a must.
Demonstrated relationship builder; able to establish both internal and external working relationships in order to identify and implement strategies for business growth.
Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Project and SharePoint.
Understanding of data integrity best practices and data analysis (e.g., SQL) desired.
